Hedman Partners rewarded three startups at the Latitude59 pitching contest

Hedman Partners was privileged to once again sponsor the pitching contest at this year’s Latitude59 conference. Partnered for the first time with Pitch@Palace, the pitching contest saw altogether 20 teams battle it out for a chance to impress investors and industry peers.

In a surprise move, the jury decided to pick two winners at the main competition – Rangeforce, a cyber defence simulation company that discovers and recruits cuber talent, and Timbeter, a smart device based solution to measure raw timber material quicker, cheaper and more accurately. The winner of the early stage pitching contest was Palleter, who connects cargo to nearby trucks and gives transport companies and drivers a kit of modern online tools. Hedman Partners will provide altogether 7500 EUR worth of legal advice to the three winners of both stages, as this valuable professional assistance is sometimes even more cherished by startups than cash injections.

Merlin Salvik from Hedman Partners commented that the level of presenting and the overall quality of the competition was superb. “The participation of Pitch@Palace seems to have inspired the participants to take the pitching even more seriously and we were thrilled to be a part of this wonderful event,” said Salvik. “We will provide our best legal advice to the winners so that they’ll be ready to win the prestigious Pitch@Palace event to be held at St. James’ Palace in London later this year,” promised Salvik.

This year’s Latitude59 brought together 1500 startups and investors on May 31st and June 1st and Hedman Partners was pleased to once again partner with Latitude59 by sponsoring both the startup pitching events and the closing reception.
